Members of the ambassador ministry are the face of Blessed Sacrament parish. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops conducted a survey on why Catholics leave the Church. One of the reasons cited was “They did not experience warm, personal, caring relationships in their encounters with Catholics.” As Mandy Rose said in her article Little Ways to Live & Share Our Faith, “smiling and being friendly may help someone feel welcome at Church and keep them coming back.” These ministries are open to all.
The purpose of the Ambassador Ministry is to welcome all parishioners to the parish. In the past the Ambassador ministry has hosted an annual new parishioners’ breakfast, a parish picnic, and several other events to welcome new parisioners.
