On this Christmas Eve, I can only imagine what it must be like for Mom and Dad to pick up your newborn baby for the first time and hold them in your arms. With the touch of their face as you feast your eyes on their innocent beauty, no words can describe what your heart is experiencing. God created your child with your cooperation.
With God, experience that feeling you had with your child that first time. That is something of the feeling He experiences with us from the moment we are conceived to eternity. That is why His mercy endures forever. Joy must explode in His heart when we embrace His mercy and taste in our hearts a morsel of His bliss.
Visit the manger in our church or a Catholic Church near you. Sit there in silence. Quiet your thoughts and be present with God. Let the Father hold you in His arms like for the first time. It is the first time for the rest of your life.
