July 1 is the Feast Day of the Founder of the Institute of Charity, Blessed Antonio Rosmini. Our priests are known as Rosminians and serve in many countries throughout the world including this parish and two others in this Diocese.
Father Joseph O’Reilly, our Provincial, who spent almost a week with us a few months ago, has requested all Rosminian communities pray a Novena beginning July 1 and ending on July 9.
This intention began when a child in England, Madeleine went missing she is the grandniece of one of our trustees of our schools in England.
NOVENA TO BLESSED ANTONIO ROSMINI:
We offer this novena with all Rosminians throughout the world that all missing children will be returned to their family. May Jesus Mary and Joseph protect them day and night. Blessed Antonio Rosmini, pray for us.
Lord, we pray that you look with favor on the cause of your servant, Blessed Antonio Rosmini. In your loving kindness, please remember his total faith and abandonment to Divine Providence, his love of Holy Mother Church and his boundless works of charity as he labored tirelessly here on earth in union with your son, Jesus. Grant us the grace, which we ask through his intercession, to have his sanctity revealed to us. Most holy Mother of Sorrows, to whom Blessed Rosmini consecrated his Institute of Charity, we pray you to intercede with your Son, our Lord, to hear our humble prayers, Amen.
We pray that Blessed Rosmini will act on our behalf, praying with us, as we earnestly ask that Our Lord, to whom each child is precious, will return dear Madeleine and all missing children to their families. We also pray that the Church will seek every means possible to highlight the plight of missing and exploited children throughout the world.
Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory be…
