I used to watch a slapstick comedy growing up called the Three Stooges. A common phrase they would call each other was a knucklehead when one of them did something silly. It’s like, you just don’t get it, do you?
I am sure Jesus didn’t call any of His disciples “a knucklehead.” This was the third time Jesus revealed Himself to them after His resurrection, and they still didn’t get it. One thing it tells us is that resurrection of the dead is far out of the range of our comprehension.
Even after seeing Jesus risen from the dead twice, Peter seems to go back to his old way of life before Jesus. “I’m going fishing.” Jesus is very patient. We see how Jesus keeps coming to us until we do get it. He is on the shore cooking some fish. Jesus reveals Himself in the ordinary events of life.
I don’t want to remain a knucklehead when it comes to recognizing Jesus in my life. So who are the people He keeps sending to us pointing Him out? They are the friend who forgives us, someone who did a kind act out of the blue, someone who was generous somehow.
It can be anyone who did even the most minor thing to make us feel special.
Guess what? We all can be kind to others just because it’s the right thing to do. Jesus will keep revealing Himself. How many times? As many times as it takes to recognize Him.

Resurrection comes to us in so many ways.
What ways is Jesus rising in you today?
